| Jazz Guitar Site
An excellent resource for music and jazz theory and jazz lessons is the Jazz Guitar Online (http://www.jazzguitar.be/) site. There is so much info here. If you sign up for the email newsletter, you get a free PDF book.
Now, I usually hate sites that have a signup section and when you do give your email, you get tons of really dumb and/or useless emails. The emails here are superb and full of stuff you can use and play (every once in awhile you get Band in a Box ads in the email--they do not bother me and I have a low tolerance for that). Here is an example, in a recent email I received, the topic was how to do walking bass lines in a jazz style. Check it and see, http://www.jazzguitar.be/walking_bass_guitar.html, you might be suprised. The lesson breaks down the how-to into easy to follow parts and the example is a cool, as in jazz cool, piece of music. The guy, I am assuming one guy pretty much does the site, has a YouTube account to compliment some of the information on the site. Watch and listen (http://youtube.com/user/JazzGuitarOnline). If you are curious about jazz or want to add a new dimension to your playing, give the site a try. Added on: 2008 04 11
