When practicing, group songs together by a theme. Play them one into the other or medley style. Think like a DJ putting a set together. Look for similar keys, lyrical content, chords, etc. If there aren't many similarities, consider transposing or looking for complimentary keys. Also, try your set out with friends or someone that'll listen.
If you play in a band (rock |m|), or jam with some people, take some songs you play and apply this. Grouping 2-4 songs together might be a nice addition to a set list. Added on: 2008 04 19
