Music Theory Primer Site

If you are learning music or want something to quiz yourself, musictheory.net had some great free tools. While the site has many parts, this is about the Lessons menu on the main page.

Now, the best practice of any skill is to use it. That being said, many situations arise where that just isn't enough or more practice is needed be being able to 'do' the skill.

The Lesson section is pretty much what you'd expect. The flash applets take you through the information in nicely graduated steps and there's a print button for having a paper copy. Since the explanation is visual, it's easy to grasp.

Now, the number of lessons might overwhelm. Keep in mind the small groupings of the information. Also, for another guitar note on here, there are other ways to use this information from the lessons on the site.
