Lesson Music Stepping Stone
A song many beginning students can get a handle on is Stepping Stone. What's good about this song is you can get into different contexts and styles with it. You can play it in a 60's strum style or in an 80's hardcore style. Much fun. Here's vids of the two versions that go on in my head.

Even this Monkee's version has a little snarl to it.




Here's a live version by Minor Threat. This kinda shows the energy of the song live in a harder/punk style. When I saw Murphy's Law in college, they played this as their closer and it was chaos. :)
