Bach Accordions and Animation
I (re)started working on Bach's Prelude No 1 in C from the Well Tempered Clavier book 1. Despite a long title, I started with a piano version of the piece and used some other sources to come up a transcription on the cheap. Anyway, while looking at videos I happened across one of my favorite Bach pieces, Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. Depending on which generation you're from you'd describe this piece as 'far out', 'ill', 'wicked', 'dope', or whatever else might fit. Teaching music, I found a nice animated video that does a cool job of showing how the music moves. You could relate each line to a finger.

Now here's the true inspiration for this post. So, I saw accordion on the title and thought of Weird Al. No offense to accordion players or Al fans. But, after I hit play, I quickly became mesmerized. While watching this virtuoso's technique, I realized that an accordion has some similarities to guitar, look at the left hand and think about a fretboard. Anyway, this is great stuff sure to inspire.
