Meramec Valley R-3 / Pacific, MO / 1999-PR
Odyssey Teacher : (2006-PR) Teach 6-8 grade gifted/talented students. Course covered various subject areas. Developed a timeline project which used software from MIT to create interactive timelines. Also taught Music Appreciation in the alternative high school.
Management Teacher : (2005-2006) Worked with at-risk and suspended students grades 6-12 in a pull-out program. Planned and graded an accelerated curriculum that included all core areas and character education. Program was cut from budget.
English Teacher : (1999-2005) Taught high school English: 10th grade, Applied Communications, Mythology, and Science Fiction. Worked with a history teacher and special education teacher to form a 10th grade team. Served as a Student Council sponsor.
Elective Teacher : (1999-2001) Taught 6th grade performing arts and 7th grade careers. Served as a Student Council sponsor.

English Teacher : (1997-1999) Taught high school English: 10th grade, Applied Communications I, and Applied Communications II. Served as a sophomore class sponsor.

• Founded a company that makes tools for teachers. The primary service is The Teacher Advantage where educators can post plans and use tools such as automatic GLE relevance and teaching method keyword banks. Other services include the Professional Development System, PDS, made under the guidance of Meramec Valley administration and HVAC Answer software which is problem solving software for HVAC workers.
• Skilled in various technologies such as programming (Java, Perl, JavaScript, Visual Basic .NET), web development and design (AJAX, HTML, XML, Flash, RSS), and server maintenance (Apache, Tomcat). Handled all aspects of development including testing and deployment.
• Achievements: standards alignment algorithm on file with the Library of Congress, Vector Based Variance provides a way to visualize statistics to aid in performance analysis

• Completed a central office level internship leading curriculum revision committee that worked to align and document the scope and sequence of middle school language arts instruction.

Related Training
Senior MAP Leader : Served as our districts Senior MAP Leader, Class 9, and coordinated training for teachers in three buildings, grades 6-12. Responsible for attending meetings; preparing, scheduling (dates and substitutes), and conducting training; and monitoring follow-up training. Periodically give workshops on MAP, GLE's, and teaching methods.
4MAT Trainer : Previously trained in the 4MAT teaching method. Gave several workshops about implementing the brain research based teaching method.
